Tal y como se anunció en el blog de Microsoft Learn, se ha hecho público el rediseño de la interfaz para los exámenes de certificaciones de Microsoft en la plataforma de Pearson VUE. These changes came into effect at the beginning of March 2024, so if you have taken an exam recently, you have already seen them. If not, stay with us as we review the main updates that have been introduced.

New Features Thanks to the Visual Changes

The truth is that this new interface is a redesign with a very modern style and new features that will make our tasks easier when facing one of these exams. Among all the new features, we highlight the following:

• The option to hide the clock showing the remaining time to complete the exam.
• The left sidebar menu can be expanded or collapsed to gain more space on the screen for displaying questions and their options.
• A simple and clean design focused on minimizing horizontal and vertical scrolling.
• A horizontal bar that shows the exam progress and the remaining unanswered questions.
• New dark mode.

Can You Access Microsoft Documentation During an Exam?

All these updates are in addition to the new features introduced in recent years, such as:

• The option to take unscheduled breaks during an exam.
• Ability to access official Microsoft technical documentation during the exam (with some limitations: for example, practical sections on how to deploy services or solutions cannot be consulted).

Finally, just to mention that we have already encountered these changes in some exams, but it may take time to appear in all of them because Microsoft indicates that the rollout is happening gradually.
