After completing the necessary steps to connect to our Cloud PC using the Windows application, we are going to configure<\/strong> Windows 365 Switch<\/strong>. This is one of the most outstanding features of the Windows application for connecting to our Windows 365 cloud desktop.<\/p>\n\n

What is Windows 365 Switch?<\/h2>\n\n

With Windows 365 Switch, we have the option to naturally switch between the desktop of our physical computer and the desktop of our Cloud PC in Windows 365<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

To use this interesting feature, we must meet the following requirements:<\/p>\n\n

  • Have a Windows 365 license<\/strong> assigned to our user.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Have Windows 11 Professional or Enterprise<\/strong> installed on our Cloud PC<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Make sure that our physical computer has Windows 11 Professional or Enterprise updated,<\/strong> at least with the cumulative patches of February 2024. From Endpoint Equipment, we always recommend keeping the equipment updated to the latest version<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Have the Windows application installed<\/strong> on our physical computer and that it is updated to a recent version.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n

    How to Activate It?<\/h2>\n\n

    Once all the requirements are met, we must open the Windows 365 app and access the configuration menu of our Cloud PC. There we will find the option to add this desktop to the task view.<\/p>\n\n

    With this simple step, we will be ready to start using Windows 365 Switch. It’s that easy to configure everything correctly<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n

    To start using it, we just have to click on the task view icon<\/strong> located in our taskbar. Thanks to Windows 365 Switch, we can alternate between our computer’s desktop and our desktop in the cloud.<\/p>\n\n

    Once connected to our desktop in the cloud, simply repeat the same process to return to the desktop of our local computer.<\/p>\n\n

    Main Disadvantages<\/h2>\n\n

    However, not everything is perfect. We have identified two main disadvantages when using Windows 365 Switch: We can only use a single Cloud PC with this functionality and the desktop in the cloud always opens in full screen, using all available monitors<\/strong>. For the first, we have no choice but to select the Cloud PC with which we want to work at each moment. For the second, we must open the desktop in the cloud from the Windows app itself.<\/p>\n\n

    Ideal For Running Multiple Tasks at Once<\/h2>\n\n

    Thanks to this feature, we can quickly alternate between our local desktop and our desktop in the cloud<\/strong>.
